My Introduction

My greatest asset is I am super independent.

The nicest thing I ever did for anyone was help my friend Josh propose to his now fiance Lynna.

The nicest thing anyone ever did for me was bring me food when I was living in Yellowstone and so broke I could hardly afford ramen this summer.

One question I have about life is at the movie theater, which arm rest is yours.

One thing I've always wondered about is why do people yell heads up when you're supposed to duck.

My teachers last year will tell you that I am a little too obsessive about my work, but generally a good student.

My friends will tell you that I am "crazy" (direct quote when I asked a friend).

People like me because...uh...that's a really good question.

One thing most people don't know about me is while I am an open book, I might tell you everything there is to know about me, but I won't tell you how any of that makes me feel.

I am an expert on cleaning bathrooms after working in housekeeping at a crappy hotel.

I want to know more about poetry.

When I am 30, I will hopefully be out of grad school and working as a lobbyist on Capitol Hill.

Five years from now, I will hopefully be at Carnegie Mellon for grad school going for my Masters in public Administration along with my JD at Pitt Law, if I get accepted into the dual degree program I have my eye on.

When I want to, I have the ability to be super competitive.

A famous person I admire is bell hooks because she revolutionized feminism and the women's movement in the late 21st century.
The bravest thing I ever did was organize a political rally in high school.

I have trouble dealing with people who ramble on and on in class about something that doesn't actually pertain to the lecture and wastes everyone's time.

I appreciate it when teachers actually listen to students' concerns instead of just assuming they know best.

I am proud of my closest friend for always listening to my opinions and problems even though he never really understands what I'm talking about.

I like Taco Time's cherry empandas because they taste amazing.

I really need to turn in my paperwork for work.

My favorite class is so far my International Politics class because I really enjoy politics and learning about different governments, etc..

My friends make me laugh when we go out hiking and goof around outside.

My pet peeve is when people eat smelly loud food in class.

When I am sad I go buy the best brand of chocolate coconut milk ice cream and rock out to my favorite music. (I'm lactose intolerant).

The most stressful thing in my life is school.

The most influential person in my life are probably my aunt and uncle because they practically raised me.

If I had one hundred dollars, I would probably save it until it was time to pay for next semester since I've already paid for this one.

I am named for where and when I was born. My middle name is Noel and I was born two weeks from Christmas in North Pole, Alaska.
It is difficult to learn how to blow bubbles with bubble gum--I still can't.

I have no regrets about dropping out of college after my first attempt.

I regret not doing better in high school.

A friend once showed me how to have hope in things and people even when they frustrate me.

I like really weird music. Pretty much if it's from a musical most people haven't heard of, I'm going to love it.

My favorite color is orange.

One dish I can cook well is tuna casserole, while I have been craving for over a year now, but don't have an oven to cook it in.

My favorite place on earth is Harriman State Park, Idaho.

  1. Welcome Heidi. My middle name is Noel(le) too. What was the nature of your stay in Yellowstone? Were you working there? I'm also curious about the political rally you organized in high school. What were you rallying for (or against)?

  2. Oh good, this does work and you got the link!

I was a maid at one of the hotels in West Yellowstone, MT all summer, along with working nights at a t shirt shop.

As for the rally, back in 2011, I did a semi-large students against the Luna laws rally. I was living in the Boise area at the time and had all student speakers, some from as far as Moscow speaking. Most I had never met before. The kicker was I organized it in a week. It was a lot of stress, but really worth it.

  3. I really like how you answered the questions for your intro.I have a similar job cleaning apartments though I mainly focus on kitchens. I have a friend that also likes those musicals that most people haven't heard of. So what particular musicals were you thinking of?
