Girl to Boy

Check the oil in the pickup on Monday, and clean up any mess; wash the rig on Tuesday and park it in the shade. Wear long sleeve shirts, especially in the summer; it'll keep you from burning; and a baseball cap; put your brim forward; none of that punk-ass backwards stuff those friends of yours like. Get off your butt and wash the windows; every one of them; and don't you leave streaks; only twinkie eaters sit on the couch all day. Don't let your pants sag like that; didn't I tell you to use your baling money for a belt, kid? This is how you fix something that's been broken around the house; this is how you greet your grandmother; this is how you fold military corners when you make your bed. Cut that hair of yours shorter, you look like your sister. This is how you swig a beer; this is how you chew tobacco. This is how you back the boat into the dock and don't you scratch the pick up's paint. Pull at the base not the top of those weeds when you are clearing the tomato patch. Is it true that you were with that punk ass friend of yours Jimmy when the Sheriff caught him with marijuana last week? Always cut your steak before you eat it; and never cook it rare. We're not even friends and I wasn't there. Real men don't camp in tents; don't water the lawn during the day unless you want brown grass; this is how you mow the edges. Turn off the damn lights when you leave a room; are you paying the electricity bill around here. Don't take too much food at dinner; and actually use your napkin instead of wiping your mouth on the back of your hand. Milk goes with meals, water gets drank throughout the rest of the day. This is how load your gun, this is how you fire your gun, and this is how you clean your gun after you're done shooting it. This is how you gut a deer. Don't be stupid or you'll end up spending the night with the Sheriff, and I'm not bailing you out, like those friends of yours. Always call your mom on Sunday nights and your grandma on every holiday and birthday. What if I lose Grandma's number? You mean to tell me you're not even man enough to remember your own grandma's birthday?

My Introduction

My greatest asset is I am super independent.

The nicest thing I ever did for anyone was help my friend Josh propose to his now fiance Lynna.

The nicest thing anyone ever did for me was bring me food when I was living in Yellowstone and so broke I could hardly afford ramen this summer.

One question I have about life is at the movie theater, which arm rest is yours.

One thing I've always wondered about is why do people yell heads up when you're supposed to duck.

My teachers last year will tell you that I am a little too obsessive about my work, but generally a good student.

My friends will tell you that I am "crazy" (direct quote when I asked a friend).

People like me because...uh...that's a really good question.

One thing most people don't know about me is while I am an open book, I might tell you everything there is to know about me, but I won't tell you how any of that makes me feel.

I am an expert on cleaning bathrooms after working in housekeeping at a crappy hotel.

I want to know more about poetry.

When I am 30, I will hopefully be out of grad school and working as a lobbyist on Capitol Hill.

Five years from now, I will hopefully be at Carnegie Mellon for grad school going for my Masters in public Administration along with my JD at Pitt Law, if I get accepted into the dual degree program I have my eye on.

When I want to, I have the ability to be super competitive.

A famous person I admire is bell hooks because she revolutionized feminism and the women's movement in the late 21st century.
The bravest thing I ever did was organize a political rally in high school.

I have trouble dealing with people who ramble on and on in class about something that doesn't actually pertain to the lecture and wastes everyone's time.

I appreciate it when teachers actually listen to students' concerns instead of just assuming they know best.

I am proud of my closest friend for always listening to my opinions and problems even though he never really understands what I'm talking about.

I like Taco Time's cherry empandas because they taste amazing.

I really need to turn in my paperwork for work.

My favorite class is so far my International Politics class because I really enjoy politics and learning about different governments, etc..

My friends make me laugh when we go out hiking and goof around outside.

My pet peeve is when people eat smelly loud food in class.

When I am sad I go buy the best brand of chocolate coconut milk ice cream and rock out to my favorite music. (I'm lactose intolerant).

The most stressful thing in my life is school.

The most influential person in my life are probably my aunt and uncle because they practically raised me.

If I had one hundred dollars, I would probably save it until it was time to pay for next semester since I've already paid for this one.

I am named for where and when I was born. My middle name is Noel and I was born two weeks from Christmas in North Pole, Alaska.
It is difficult to learn how to blow bubbles with bubble gum--I still can't.

I have no regrets about dropping out of college after my first attempt.

I regret not doing better in high school.

A friend once showed me how to have hope in things and people even when they frustrate me.

I like really weird music. Pretty much if it's from a musical most people haven't heard of, I'm going to love it.

My favorite color is orange.

One dish I can cook well is tuna casserole, while I have been craving for over a year now, but don't have an oven to cook it in.

My favorite place on earth is Harriman State Park, Idaho.
